Lying awake because I hate my job

I used to love my job but various factors and unsupportive managers have made me gradually hate it. A recent change is on my mind too which hasn't been sufficiently communicated to those that it will affect is on my mind. I've been looking for other work and nothing pays as well. I've got lots of loan debts to clear so can't go for any jobs with pay much lower. I'm biding my time but it's difficult and really stressful. Even working from home isn't what it used to be. Because of the stress I have become of the mindset that im not going to go the extra mile really.

Yeah, well, join the club. The only useful suggestion I have is that you could do that trick where you see yourself as an alien visiting Earth to report back on the strange behaviour of its inhabitants, so you are there as a sort of observer. This way you can detach yourself emotionally from the situation but not check out completely. This may be a contrast from the time back when you loved your job, but it's one that needs to be made.

If you started off your job just for the money then what you are going thru now wouldn't seem so bad, it's the sense of what it used to be that is maybe getting to you.

Maybe you should see your outside life as your 'real life' now, you home being where it's at, if that's possible. Don't know if counting the hours til you clear your debts and get out would help, it might not.

Could you go in a debt payment plan and get montly outgoings down. You could then drop a bit then.

This is me all the time at nowadays, anxiety and stress about my job have consumed me and I just don’t feel like me anymore. I’m trying to find another job but it needs to be specific locations, flexi, payetc and that is really difficult at the moment. I feel for you, that feeling of being completely trapped

Can you get any form of reduced hours op? Even down half a day or leaving earlier due to shortened breaks or something? You could just say you’re extremely exhausted and not sure what’s up with you which is true
