Hi everyone, a bit clueless about how to plan this so hoping for some help/suggestions from anyone who has done this!

Our second child was born in July and since then we’ve done lots of UK Airbnbs which has been lovely but we’re keen to go abroad in September. By then our oldest will be 2y 9m and our little one will be 1y 2m. We’re looking at somewhere that fits the below criteria, please share any ideas and also any tips that you have when we get there!

Within a three hour flight, decent weather
Nice beaches close by
All inclusive apartment/villa
Good entertainment for children

We’re thinking of around 5 nights, we’ll be planning it when we get back from our current UK break tomorrow so any ideas we have that we can factor in before then would be great! Also ideas on cost would be great as well ☺️

Royal son Bou, Menorca,

Martinhall, Portugal

ILKOS- various but outside of your 3 hour flight time I think.

Holiday Village Kos has duplexes but outside of your flight time. Not sure about the others, I think Ibiza might do with a 2 hour flight.

What’s your budget? The above will get booked quickly ad people with younger kids will take advantage of the schools being back.

you won’t get entertainment in a villa.

You haven’t mentioned weather, so I have made some assumptions here about wanting sunshine!

I would aim for southern Italy, northern Greece or the Costa del Sol- all of which will still be warm and are within the 3 hour flight. If it’s early September you could also look at Balearic Islands which are beautiful but by the end of Sept they tend to have cooled off a bit.
Particularly Estepona or Nerja in Spain, it’s so family friendly there and children are welcomed most places, plus there are parks everywhere.

If you are booking a package, your 1yo will be free as they will sit on your lap and with some companies you can get a free child place for 2yo (Jet2Holidays and EasyjetHoliays).

ETA sorry you did say about the weather!

@hellospring26we don’t necessarily have a budget as such so we’ll maybe set a limit when we have an idea of what kind of cost it could be. We’re going to book this week so hopefully four months in advance will be enough time and yes we’ll probably need to avoid the villa in that case!

@queenofwandss thank you! Some places in there we wouldn’t have thought of, I think we’ll definitely be looking at a package holiday as well

Look at IKOS or Sani holidays. Few different all inc resorts around Europe. Roughly £8k-£15k for a week.

We love Zafiro Alcudia which fits your requirements.

I wouldn’t be looking for entertainment for kids at that age at all. They’ll be very happy with a small bucket and sand. So somewhere with gentle sheltered beaches, shallow

Menorca, Greece, Sardinia … loads of options

Could you tell me more about this one please? We’ve booked this in July.

We did the Protur Sa Coma Playa in Majorca - was a nice hotel and you could use the facilities at the other hotels in the brand which were all within walking distance. They also had a splash park shared by the all hotels which was free to use and had a weekly pool party. Sa coma beach is lovely.

Agree Menorca. Love Sardinia but the water is very cold. If you like beaches get a blow up paddling pool to take for the baby.

I would consider somewhere like Split or one of the islands eg Brac in Croatia in September. Or what about South of France? Corsica? There’s tonnes of places to choose from so maybe go to a travel agent

It's a great hotel. We went last september with a 3yo and we're going again in June.

@crackerjackbaby it’s just really lovely and so easy with kids. Food is good, pools are great, the beach is lovely. The sea is crystal clear, calm and shallow.

Definitely will be checking this out. Would you mind sharing what the cost has been for this one? Would just be good for me to have a bit of a ballpark figure as to what we’d be looking at
