Is it possible to do this if i cut all carbs apart from occasiomal brown rice and stick to salad at lunch, salmon/cod with spinach and brocolli for dinner.
I already drink 2-3 litres of water daily and take green tea, mult vit snd vit D supplements. I hsve just started a probiotic.
Exercise will be 30mins ex bike snd 1hr daily walk.

I"ve never aspired to be thin! I've had an athletic build since i was 14 (horse riding and swimming).
This extra weight gain has gone on my stomach.
But i will take it slow and steady!

You’re not fat, I was just responding to someone up thread who declared you very thin,🙄

Go for it. Even if you 'only' get to 6-7 lbs you'll still feel great.

CloudyBayPlease · 09/05/2026 17:41

I think it’s possible. It’s only 3.5 pounds a week.

I’d do the Fast 800 keto.

This little piggy loves food, how to lose a stone in a week.

UniquePinkSwan · 09/05/2026 17:44

Yes but you have to eat zero carbs

Edited

Only 3.5lbs a week is almost double the maximum healthy, safe amount of weight to lose per week. As OP is only just into the overweight category then the chances of losing that much per week are very unlikely.

Be sensible and realistic, aim for a pound a week. Even 4-5 llbs loss would be a plus.

SeekingHappinesss · 09/05/2026 18:02

I've lost 9lbs in the first 2 weeks of dieting. But I'm at a higher starting weight and a significant amount is water weight. I currently don't look any different but my clothes do fit a little better (probably because I'm not as bloated).

Didimum · 09/05/2026 18:24

It’s not possible without quite literally starving yourself. You need to create a calorie deficit of 12,250 a week, every week, to achieve a 14lb weight loss in 4 weeks.

Your daily maintenance calories at 10st 3lb, 5ft 3 on moderate daily exercise is just over 2000. Which means you can only consume 340 calories a day.

So no. Don’t be silly.

ShetlandishMum · 09/05/2026 18:26

If you loose a stone too fast you most likely put it on again but yes it can be done. Eat less and exercise more.

Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain · 09/05/2026 18:36

It’s more likely to be half a stone you lose. A stone in 2 months.

Popcorn76 · 09/05/2026 18:46

Do you want to loose weight or look better? If you are a muscular build that is a great foundation for health, boosting metabolism and looking good. You don't want to loose muscle through rapid weight loss and in the long term this will lead to weight gain.

I would focus on loosing inches around your waist. To do do this you need to lower insulin, so cut sugar, starchy carbs etc, this will also make you less hungry so it will be easier to maintain a small/moderate calorie deficit.

Just need to post on your local fb page looking for someone to spread a great bug towards you, easy loss then. Pneumonia was my biggest weight loss, 16lbs in two weeks, don't recommend!

I always lose weight on holiday, I dunno how as I mainline beer most of the day.
