Does an additional case on CMS mean there are other children?

Anyone know about CMS claims?

I have recently split from husband and put a claim in for CMS.

They have written to me and stated

Does this mean my husband has other children, other than our two?

He has another child who has been adopted.

We have 2 children together.

He doesn't work since we split.

This is my first ever claim.

If it's that child, they weren't adopted (no maintenance is due from somebody who is not legally the father). So he's either lying about that and just fucked off and dumped that woman - or there is at least one other child.

Yes unfortunately it’s exactly that. Once case has been processed it will give you a breakdown of where the money goes and between how many children.
They are open today I believe though.

There must be at least one other child. An adopted child wont count as the father would not be paying maintenance.
