What can I expect to get out of this Vinted issue?

I bought a cardigan off Vinted. When it arrived, it looked - at a glance - great. I agreed it was ok through the app. I put it on an hour later and noticed to smallish but definite holes on the front and another much larger hole near the buttons. No mention on the ad. 'Excellent condition.'

Because I had completed the order, I can't air the grievance and get anywhere. So I messaged the seller with photos. Asked if they thought it was fair and what they would like to do about it.

I'm aired, as the teens say. She's seen it and not replied.

What can I do? It's more the principle than the money.

Nothing really except leave a poor review. You have already signed it off as fine.

Oh that’s tricky! I don’t think you have a leg to stand on tho now you’ve signed it off, they will probs insist it was fine when they sent it.
I nearly had this with a cardi from V and my OH collected it when I was away and I was on the last day to report issues when I returned and nearly missed a hole in the shoulder seam. It happens!

Not much, I’m afraid

I learn the hard way to try things on and inspect properly before ticking the box to say it’s arrived and that I’m happy with the item.

I’ve seen regular vinted sellers say it’s a scam where people agree the item is ok, and then start contacting seller to say there’s an issue and wanting some money back off vinted. Maybe the seller thinks you’re a piss taker so is ignoring you.

Are they actual holes or pulls. You can get a gadget to repair pulls very easily.

I sent her pics - these were not holes you could make quickly - and I didn’t ask her for money

Asking her what she would like to do about it is essentially requesting a refund, so a request for money.

I would write this off to experience and check items carefully before choosing the Everything is OK option.
