Vibey restaurants near Southbank?

Looking for recommendations from fellow Londoners please. Not the general tourist chains along the south bank but perhaps some other places nearby I’ve not tried. A nice vibe to sit and linger for ages, mid price range, delicious food, good atmosphere. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't say that Skylon is mid-price range though. £25 for fish and chips or shepherd's pie. £45 for a steak - with no sides or sauce!

I don't know if you'd consider this 'vibey', but this is a reliable place:

Located in Southbank, Brasserie Blanc's contemporary French brasserie offers a truly special dining experience. Open 7 days a week.

Lingering for ages on the Southbank generally not something that’s easy to come by. I like Forza at the national theatre or if the weather is nice enough then food from the market behind the southbank centre and then eating on the roof terrace is nice (and somewhere you can linger).

Bala Baya in Southwark is outstandingly delicious food (small plates) and you can linger and order as you go. Spent several loong “work” lunches there over the years!

Gambas

Another vote for Forza at the National Theatre - great views from the balcony if it’s warm enough!

I would also recommend The Archduke

I’ve been to Forza and Skylon. The market at the festival hall made me sick once - I think rice left out - so I never go there anymore! Bala Baya looks great!

I would second the recommendation for Tas The Cut or its sister restaurant Ev, just across the road underneath the railway arches, especially if the weather is nice and you can get an outside table.

Yes Tas The Cut is good.

Roti king on lower marsh or anchor and hope on the cut

Paladar is my favourite round there. 5 mins walk from Waterloo past the Old Vic. The food is fantastic and it's fun, South American. We go there a lot.
Forza wine is nice but the menu is very limited

How about Meson Don Felipe on the Cut ?
