If a message has been on one tick for 24hours +, I've been blocked?

This "friend" is prone to a tantrum, but I do need to keep in touch because of, well something I won't go into because it's not my story.

Quite often, her messages take several hours to go to two ticks, and then eventually turn blue. Does that mean she's been blocking me regularly or (as I assumed) the message wasn't delivered intially because of poor reception or having the phone switched off?

More than a day, I've been blocked?

It's drama I don't need, but I'd like to know.

And if I've been blocked (or it hasn't been delivered for another resson) she won't know there's a message waiting?

I wonder if I am your friend as I regularly turn my phone to airplane mode when in work or turn the net off it so I am not disturbed and even when a message comes through and I am connected to wifi I only answer or look when I am not busy.

I believe if you block someone, you don’t get the message when you unblock them. It’s just lost.

She might be someone who turns her phone off regularly, or uses aeroplane mode as newdawn said.

If she had a profile picture and it's disappeared you have been blocked.
