Not a doctor but as far as I know it’s ok unless she’s already on tonnes of meds
it may take a couple of weeks for effects to kick in but I’d say it’s worth a try

My DD takes magnesium and she’s younger than yours.
Also check out sleep hygiene guidance online as there are other things that can help too.

How old is she op? Just a warning, and I come on every thread just because I think people should know just in case, that I had really really vivid dreams, not nightmares but not good dreams either, and would wake up feeling that feeling you get when you have a nap and are woken up, always groggy and a bit headachy. Tried it for a month, came off it, was back to waking up nightly but no dreams, went back on, was back to dreams and a horrendous wake up. Just a warning

Ps I’ve only heard two other people say similar, other people rave about how transformative it was for them!

I've started myself but for muscle issues and I'm having vivid dreams but good dreams !

I took several forms of Mg recommended on here for my insomnia. All had zero effect. So I vote harmless since zero effect.

It only works if you are deficient in magnesium. She might be better off with something like valerian root (kalms)
