Car accident moan

I was in a car accident 9 months ago.
My car was written off and I sustained multiple injuries. The accident was not my fault. I've fully recovered now except for one injury. I still experience lots of pain in my left hand (I'm left handed) and can't fully use it.

I've got two disabled kids. It's been a nightmare trying to look after them when I was hurt.

I'm so angry how rubbish the car insurance company/ legal team have been. The solicitors don't do anything/ follow up on anything till I call them. After nearly 9 months they are just now talking about starting the process to get me therapy for my hand (I had a bit at the start but it was more for my other injuries). I'm really not sure therapy after a year will do any good and I just don't have time to go to countless appointments - if I thought they'd help that'd be great but I'm doubtful. I want some compensation. Isn't that the point of car insurance?!

Is this normal?

I’m sorry, that’s crap.
I don’t know what’s normal, I do know that I feel I was under compensated after my car crash. The dr was keen for me to say it was all better now. It didn’t feel supportive at all.

I would pin them down on what their role is- to get things finished up, or to represent your interests. I’d also speak to an injury lawyer, and hear what they say. DM got a settlement after a fall affected her badly, and went through a normal solicitor to get representation.she had to pay, it wasn’t a no win no fee situation.

Yes. It took Admiral nearly 4 years to sort out compensation for my dc's injuries. Not her fault, car was written off. She was hit at speed, on roundabout, car spun round and ricocheted off a tree and metal railings, both sides caved in. She was trapped in the car with a huge aggressive man (other driver) screaming at her. Turned out he didn't know that he should have given way to traffic already on the roundabout. He had never read the UK highway code. The police didn't even arrest him. Over a decade on she still has pain. However she is lucky to be alive. Not just from the accident but she thought he was going to kill her. Luckily he couldn't get the doors open.

Thanks both for replying. I'm so sorry to read about your daughter's terrible experience @endofthelinefinally . Puts my situation into perspective.
