Am in 3 year old new build on a small development. I bought from new. Lovely house etc.
But - the drains keep blocking (4 times since moving in, and it is occurring more as the development reaches the final phase).
Numerous neighbours experience the same, some never have, some of us at different times and sometimes at the same time.
Builders send out the firm to unblock and all good.
I've been in an email and F2F discussions with the builder regarding my worry about this. I won't bore you with the details because this is what I am hoping to find out if you know -
If I pay for an independent drains company to do a comprehensive (cameras etc) survey of my drain would it stand as evidence that my drain is installed incorrectly if thats what they find?
I cannot say anything more specific because am slightly concerned about outing myself and where I am.

Your house should still be under warranty from the builders.

Sometimes they don't put in adequate drainage systems and they block due to being overloaded and from things like wet wipes being used. We're in a new build and our garden drain blocked, but dh managed to clear it. The wipes had come from another house as we never use them. Also our downstairs toilet pipe is inadequate and you can't have a poop in it as it just lives there 🙄
