Coming off contraceptive pill - what to expect?

Hi, I’ve decided to stop the pill (desogestrel) - stopping from tonight before I start a new week. Since starting it around 7/8 months ago (at 6 week postpartum checkup) I’ve put on weight and can’t shift it - I’m even on orlistat to help with the weight loss, work out and have a healthy, consistent diet with a calorie deficit but the weight loss is minimal. My doctor thinks it can only be the pill at this point as the weight loss was easy before I was on the pill.

can anyone let me know their experiences of coming off the pill? I’ve been told it can be hard but not much more info than that so would appreciate the insight! Also if stopping helped you with weight loss? TIA!

I came off the combined pill and moved onto the progesterone only pill on the doctors advice and omg it was horrendous. Obviously my body no longer had the estrogen hormone that the combined pill gave and it was awful for about 6 weeks.. constant crying etc

I just came off it without any effect. Didn’t notice a thing
I didn’t put weight on with it though

The only side effect was twins 😆
