Peri menopausal breast pain - can anyone advise

I'm 50, not having the usual symptoms i.e. hot flushes, but in the last 4 months I have had breast pain and heaviness in both breasts. Period irregular. Thought it might ease off after my period ended last week but it's started again. I take evening primrose oil, and am starting starflower oil but nothing works. Would HRT work? TIA

I sympathise, it’s horrible and goes on for bloody weeks. I’m afraid HRT hadn’t done a lot to alleviate it when it happens, but it’s happening less often.

Thank you, did anything work? Was it cyclical?

When did it get easier?

It is definitely cyclical. At its worst it was two weeks at a time every couple of months, but since HRT (started a year ago) it’s more a couple of days every few months. It is awful so you have my sympathies!
