What relatively "enjoyable" common things could you not physically do even for ten million pounds...

Run the London Marathon, or even half a marathon. I just cannot run. I did one park run once and was in tears by the end of it as if I'd just run from one side of Africa to the other raising millions for charity. Running is pure, pure torture. Cycling is also hell on earth.

For 10 million I reckon I could overcome all sorts of barriers. If the money was guaranteed it would be worth investing in the coaching or therapy or whatever to get you through. The only thing I'd draw the line at was where there was a high chance of death.

Go caving. Claustrophobic hell.

Even thinking about this makes me feel panicky. I don't know how anyone could contemplate doing this. Dreadful

I can’t run. I attempted couch to 5k a couple of years ago and on my first “run” I broke my toe, developed plantar fasciitis, and this triggered gout, for which I am now on lifelong medication. So no, I couldn’t put myself through that again

The Severn Bridge parkrun

If you don't like heights, it's not for you.

Although for £10 million I'd find a way.

these could also help @igelkott2026 😉

Dragracer · 04/05/2026 20:24

I don't think there's anything legal and non life threatening I wouldn't do for 500k

OldJohn · 04/05/2026 20:25

SaltyandSweet · 04/05/2026 09:38

I mean, for 10 million pounds, I'd give nearly anything a go ...

I hate running but for that money I'd run several marathons

Newsenmum · 04/05/2026 20:25

jump out of a plane

LostTheGoodScissors · 04/05/2026 20:25

Go on a big rollercoaster, for 10
million I’d probably try but I’d pass out 100%

Smokingtoaster · 04/05/2026 20:28

Sky dive. Ironman. I’ve done marathons and 100mile bike rides but I swim like a brick.

WelshCakeLover · 04/05/2026 20:29

probably something like rock climbing 🤣🫣 ive got no upper body strength whatsoever but ive seen other people's replies about getting a trainers so I'd try that to give it a go 🤣🤣

Bingbangboo · 04/05/2026 20:29

Swallow an oyster. I would give it a really good go for the money but it wouldn't be happening!

Saz12 · 04/05/2026 20:32

For 10 milliin? Pretty much anything legal (though Id be miserable doung it). Id draw the line at shagging Martin next door.

friedaddedchilli · 04/05/2026 20:47

I once met someone who was a wheelchair user as a result of skydive, so very happily never doing that.

Owlmoonstar · 04/05/2026 20:50

Go deep sea diving

Go in a deep sea submarine (I could handle that if it was only a small depth)

Go in a rocket outer space.

TinyMouseTheatre · 04/05/2026 20:54

Wild swimming, especially on a large lake or the sea. I am not a natural swimmer and panic if I’m out of my depth, but for that kind of money I think I would give it a go.

NoraLuka · 04/05/2026 20:54

Any kind of Go Ape type scenario. Whenever I try those I keep imagining the ropes getting loose and coming undone and I freeze and can’t physically move. I’d love to have 10 million but I’m not sure I could force myself to do it!

Also cave diving, that’s a definite nope.

I love running but get heatstroke at the drop of a hat so wouldn’t do one of those ultra marathons across a desert.

luckylavender · 04/05/2026 20:56

Running, hurdling, pole vaulting, ice skating (no balance) and I can’t ride a bike. Roller skating & skiing too. Probably lots more.

newrubylane · 04/05/2026 21:05

Surfing, canoeing, windsailing, even one of those banana boats - anything where there is a risk of being unexpectedly plunged into water. I can swim perfectly well, but I really panic if I'm underwater and not in full control.

Pixiedust49 · 04/05/2026 19:51

Go caving. Claustrophobic hell.

Same. No way. No amount of money would be enough to tempt me in the slightest.

ToRideOrNotToRide · 04/05/2026 21:07

Cave Diving (basically underwater caving)

I saw a film about it and thought no way!!

I have done “regular” caving in the past

Me too the caving but for that money id just shut my eyes and keep telling myself it wa safe

that bit were you slither through a tiny opening with people in front and behind - I feel 🤢

jump out of a plane

I did a solo parachute jump as a student, but there is no money in the world that could tempt me to do another one. I can't even climb a ladder nowadays without feeling queasy.

canuckup · 04/05/2026 22:31

Yeah running really here too

Eating junk food/processed food in a regular basis

seventeenofsumday · 04/05/2026 23:29

SummerFeverVenice · 04/05/2026 20:09

Go to the cinema
