I only do day trips for the beach, but definitely go to different sides of the beach. We only just discovered the Rhos on Sea end of the beach and much prefer it.

A base if you plan to travel N Wales. Not much to do otherwise

I wouldn’t choose to stay there. Conway, Llandudno or a bit further to Anglesey would be better.

Lovely sandy beach going round the whole bay, the family beach between the pier and Bryn Williams' restaurant is dog free all the time, the rest isn't.
Pen y Bryn and the Toad for food, or the Cayley Arms in Rhos.
Coast Café is lovely too.
The Welsh Mountain Zoo is worth visiting.
It's a good base for exploring Conway, Llandudno. Llanrwst and further along the coast towards mid Wales, you've got the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway and Zip World for days out.

take bikes and cycle the coastal path, or hop on the train to Conwy for the castle
