Returning from maternity.

I have posted before, so an update really. I am due back in the next few weeks. I have had to delay my return as the company are not sure what my new role is. I have verbally been told there is one, but nothing written down which rings alarm bells. I have spoken to acas with little success. My replacement was hired as a full time, permanent member of staff. My contract has always been part time, permanent.
If I am made redundant what do I have protecting me? Would this be grounds for unfair dismissal? Thanks. Any experience/advice is appreciated.

I would definitely chase up via the HR department and ask what is happening along with a verbal update. From experience I know usually anyone on maternity leave is protected from redundancy, so I would be shocked if you're permanent and then they make you redundant. Maybe get some union advice. Good luck as it's overwhelming enough returning back to work as it is and they should be supporting you.

Yes, it would and uf the role they offer you isn't similar to that which you held prior to Mat Leave, that could constitute Constructive Dusmissal. Should you wish to pursue that route, do ge aware there is a short time limit to start the process. Check it out with ACAS. Pregnant then Screwed might also be able to help.
