Totally house trained.. or he was. Last 2 weeks he has weed in the house even after being taken out.

He's 6 years old

Any ideas ?

UTI?

CoastalCalm · 01/05/2026 22:08

Needs a vet check up , could be urine infection

Good call. I think a vets trip is needed this weekend. The poor thing.

If not a UTI then something may have spooked him when outside for a wee so is now reluctant to go outside to wee.

If it's a UTI it's worth getting his bladder scanned for stones.

When our black Labrador did this it turned out that she had Diabetes

justasking111 · 01/05/2026 23:06

Our Labrador had a UTI a few months ago. Two wet duvets and a pillow later we realised whisked her off to the vet.

My dog was 7 when this started happening. Vet treated as a UTI but she was newly diabetic.. however. ... she lived a full and happy life with well controlled diabetes with twice daily insulin injections and careful diet and blood sugar managememt.

It might not be diabetes. . But if it is its treatable and shouldnt affect your dogs quality of life.

Get a check please. 🥰
