Struggling to do anything because everything is BS

I feel like everyone and everything is so full of BS that I’m struggling to do anything at all. So much BS going on, which is putting other people through BS too. I’m sick of it all.

Can you be more precise on what you mean? Get what done?

Purplewarrior · 01/05/2026 10:58

Elaboration required please OP 😊

Vinividivici · 01/05/2026 10:59

While I agree with you in principle, I agree that further clarification would be helpful 😊

ProudAmberTurtle · 01/05/2026 11:00

What's the BS that's bothering you?

Frumpiness · 01/05/2026 11:02

Struggling to get practically anything done at all, but mainly looking for a new job. I tend to avoid BS wherever possible, but I’ve read so many horror stories recently about the hoops people are being expected to jump through.

I’ve made a concerted effort to cut BS out of my life in the last few years, and this has been beneficial to me in the main, but job hunting in particular sounds far too BS-filled from what I’ve read recently. I’ve been doing quite well to avoid other people’s insufferable BS but this is one I’m going to have to do. I just don’t have the energy right now.

Could you specify what the BS is that is bothering you?

FantasyFoodhall · 01/05/2026 11:25

Well you’re not wrong OP but it sounds as if you’re unhappy. If you can, it’s worth ignoring a bit of BS to get to what’s not.

Purplewarrior · 01/05/2026 14:14

Unfortunately, job interviews require epic levels of BS. You will need to gird your loins and prepare yourself for the unavoidable BS involved.

Yes. I think getting rid of as much of the other BS as possible and conserving energy for job hunting might have to be the way to go.

Why do some people spend their whole lives talking crap? Don’t they have anything better to do?

It's literally too much BS to even deal with sometimes

Mysticguru · 01/05/2026 16:08

I agree it's all BS. Why live in the real world when you can create illusions.

ProudAmberTurtle · 01/05/2026 21:04

Anyone got any top 10 favourite / worst BS lists? Can be good BS, bad BS, indifferent BS.

Maybe even a top 10 BS BS list?

SpringIsSprung1 · 01/05/2026 22:53

Absolutely agree! Thankfully I've retired now due to health reasons but I struggle to tolerate any bullshit now and would find it nearly impossible to get a job!

Mclaren10 · 01/05/2026 22:55

Corporate bs is pretty bad. Some industries/companies are a lot better than others though.

Though some of the real bs companies have great benefits.

Frumpiness · 11/05/2026 08:31

I’ve mainly left social media but still have a look occasionally. I’m so annoyed at the amount of BS there. Not from my friends, but from all the extra BS and AI-generated BS we get shown. Can it all just get lost.

I think we need to create one, although there is so much BS around that it could be difficult only choosing ten.

Literally!

What would be your number one on the BS BS list?
