This night in 1994 is my peak nostalgic childhood memory. I was 12 years old, cosy at home with my parents watching Eurovision on RTE and watched this interval act in awe.
I've seen it at least 4 times live and get a lump in my throat everytime the music builds..the nostalgia for that time is overwhelming.

Still gives me goosebumps!

Wow now I feel old! I would have been 14. I had it bought for me that Christmas on VHS and I wore the tape out watching it so much 😂

I loved it. Two of my friends at school danced in the tour in the 90’s.

I went to see it, can’t believe it was so long ago

I was bored after 20 minutes

I didn’t like it. Thought it looked awkward.

I was mid 20s, watched it at my then boyfriend's family's house. We were all amazed. But when I've tried to watch the whole show (we had it on video or DVD at one point) it was far too long and padded out with other performers and I've never made it to the end. The original Eurovision clip gives me goosebumps still though.

I remember that. The build up was so amazing. I went to see Michael Flatleys spin off with my ex MIL and other rellies at Wembley. We had to run for the train home. It was part of a secret mission so my ex could take his dad to the opera! MIL didnt approve. We all had a great evening. But now I've learned more about Jean Butler and how really she was elbowed out, which isn't so good. But gosh 32 years!
