Has anyone had any experience of Instagram disabling their account with no right to review? I’m fairly sure my account has been hacked as I viewed a few posts early this morning, then when I went on at 7:00ish tonight to my horror I had a message saying “my account had been disabled due to my account or activity not following community guidelines,” citing “child sexual exploitation, abuse and nudity!” I haven’t posted in over a week and there was absolutely nothing of that description, obviously not. I was hacked about three months ago but have had no problems since - the only thing I can think is I’ve been hacked? Although a quick google shows this has happened to lots of other people due to an AI scanning fault?!
Either way I am getting absolutely nowhere trying to solve this. Instagram say I can’t even get the decision reviewed - that’s it, it’s gone. But also won’t tell me what I’m supposed to have done?! Their help centre is absolutely useless, you just go round in circles talking to an AI bot - I’ve followed all advice and can’t get it to report I’ve been hacked or try any of the other (limited) solutions.
At this point I’m not so much bothered about the account (although I would like it back) - I’m actually quite concerned something really inappropriate has been posted without my knowledge!
if anyone can help or advise (or has been through similar!? That would be great please. I was horrified when I read the accusatory message!
