My auntie gifted me a collectibles ashtray worth about 100 pound on eBay her son my cousin who bought it for her years ago wants it back she's in a care home

Just tell him he can't have your belongings.

Not enough information to say if he's greedy or not. He may want it as it was special to his Mum and he's thinking about her mortality now she's in a home.

I have given it back I would never have sold it , it was a gift from auntie to me he's done a few more awful things in the past that's why I called him greedy it's not worth the hassle my auntie has dementia now and she would have been upset with him .
