Skiing for beginners

I am looking to book a ski holiday for next February half term. Two of my DCs have been on ski holidays with school previously but my smallest DC is only 7 and not been previously. I am looking for somewhere that is suitable for DCs aged 18,16 and 7 and me and my DPs who are non skiers.
I have no idea where to start trying to book a holiday and would appreciate some advice and tips!

Are you planning to ski yourself? I am an adult beginner (and a nervous one at that!) and would recommend Norway and Sweden. Its not high and mountainous like the Alps so there are a lot of beginner friendly runs. Its also not as crowded at half term as the Alps which helps with nervous skiers. It can be very cold though (which does mean its snow-sure)

I would probably not ski but DP may

Are you planning on skiing at all? If not I’d avoid the super purpose built resorts or you might be a bit bored.
We had a very successful mixed ability trip to Sauze D’Olux (Italy despite the very French name!) big enough ski area to keep the good ones busy, great ski school for the beginners, great bars and restaurants and one of the part time skiers found it very easy to day trip to Turin

In that case ignore me, there is not a lot to do if you are not skiing!

Do you have a budget in mind?

We have just had an amazing ski break in Voss in Norway. It was so good we are going back to Norway later this year. It felt good for beginners and there’s beautiful fjords/scenery. Also with the exception of alcohol it wasn’t too expensive!
