Insect bite from Saturday now swollen and red, pharmacy tomorrow?

Got a bites in the forest on Saturday afternoon, was itch, swollen red, think its infected
Thinking of going to pharmacy tomorrow. Should be ok shouldn't it? I dont think its a 111 situation, I feel ok its annoying but not hurting.

Is it hot to the touch? How swollen?
Take an antihistamine. It's probably just a local reaction. Run it under cold water for a good few minutes to get relief from the itching and see if the redness reduces.
If you see any red streaks coming from it then do call 111
If it's infected you'll need antibiotic cream from the GP. The pharmacist will be able to advise tomorrow. Draw a circle around the edge of it with a pen so you can track the size of it.

Look up tick bites. If you think it could be one, please seek medical help - antibiotics now will save you potentially years of difficulties, as friends have sadly discovered

Thanks, took antihistamine and put ice pack on. Looks less angry today but do wonder if its a tick bite so much be worth getting checked out.
