Looking at the last week of August. Have a car in the middle if England basically. Not against a caravan. Kids are 12 and 9 love a beach and arcades but aren’t massive adrenaline junkies. Where did you have a great time. I have enjoyed Dorset, Cornwall (the drive though!), have thought about North Wales but worried about the weather a little. Where have you had a really great time?

We had a great time a few years ago at Warmwell holiday park in Dorset. Its a Parkdean one. It has a dry ski slope and my son (then 12) had lessons and learnt to ski! A good location for lots in Dorset too... Corfe Castle, Weymouth and we also drove to Lyme Regis for a fossil hunt (and talk booked with the museum) as well as to Tintagel. We also went quad biking on a farm nearish and I think that was DS's highlight. One of my favourite holidays we've had!

After Covid we ended up in Scotland, in Stirling. Easy to get to Edinburgh, we went to Loch Lomond, had a day road trip towards Loch Tay. A lot was still closed so I am pretty sure we missed out a lot of things to do but had a really great time.

We were there for one week, had basically every weather you can think of apart from snow but really enjoyed it.

Thank you , Warmwell looks like a good option. I think it has a good mix of what we all like.

would love to do Scotland but think the drive might be a bit far.

We have a great week in Kent a couple of years ago. We rented a cottage in deal with keepers cottages. Lots of days out in the area and deal have a train line direct to London too.
