These Stitches have been in two weeks today and are due out tomorrow. Does it look healed enough? The edges do t look right together to me 🫣
I’m dreading it, they still sting a lot!

How long have they been in place? The wound looks lovely and clean and no signs of inflammation.

I’m sure you’ll get god advice at your appointment tomorrow. Stings and twinges often come from the stitches pulling on healing skin. Hope it goes well.

Wound looks great

I wouldnt mess around with them too much.
Leave it to the Dr's

I’m a practice nurse & would have no concerns about taking those out. I always take alternate ones first to ensure wound is holding together but not everyone does this.

Outoftheblew · 27/04/2026 18:04

Oh thank you, hope they come out easily now!

They look fine and well healed. Usually they will remove every other one first to make sure no bits are still slightly open. It’s a neat job 👌

How did it go @Outoftheblew - hope you're well on the mend!

Outoftheblew · 29/04/2026 18:55

Oh yes great thanks. They came out quite easily. The top layer of skin hadn’t quite closed so it’s left like a fine paper cut but it’s drying nicely. Thanks all!
