Ants nest in dishwasher - what to do?!!

Totalmayhem · Today 16:45

Ahhhhhh! There seems to be an ants nest in my dishwasher - they are merrily marching in & out through one of the door hinge mechanisms (so have somewhere to hide if I put on a hot wash😫)…. Any helpful advice? Don’t really have the £ to just get another😭)…I’ve removed the kickboard and can’t see any evidence of them underneath. Bleurghhhh! Help!

White vinegar might help. I add some most days to my dishwasher to cut through grease( DH puts things in the dishwasher without scraping) and having had ants in the kitchen I’ve been told they don’t like vinegar

Maybe that's where my colony is hiding!

Get a Raid bait station (only brand that works for me) put it where they walk and they will be gone in a day or two!

Thanks all - I’ve given it a clean and stuck a couple of bait stations in it! Will just have to wash by hand for a few days!! Here’s hoping🤞
