Can you tell me about your Oura ring?

Do you feel it’s worth the cost and the subscription? I am peri menopausal, suffer with a lot of headaches and expect I am not doing things well in the day which might be impacting my sleep. But I don’t know! I would love to have the insight and potentially data to help me make better decisions. But would love to hear about experiences with it to help me take the plunge (or not). Thank you!

I have a Oura ring and love it. I got it because I have a family history of heart conditions and I was getting palpitations from peri onwards. I’ve been checked by a cardiologist -no issues so far thankfully -but I do like being able to track my heart rate, esp during sleep. It is also quite good at tracking sleep. I know a few watches are good at this but I can’t wear a watch when I sleep, so this is a good option. I also find the readiness score quite accurate, and it explains why.

I don’t regret spending the money on this.

I love mine, I’ve had it about 6 months and I find it really helpful in monitoring my sleep and my general health patterns.

Thank you, this all sounds really positive!

One more q, do you pay for the subscription? Not sure it works without. It’s the one thing that puts me off a bit - the ongoing cost of the subscription

Can I chip in a question too please?
Which colour to get? I’ve heard the gold chips really badly and looks tatty.

I love mine, I have the silver one and it isn’t particularly tarnished, I’ve had it for nine months, my friend has the rose gold one and it’s battered!
I think it’s brilliant, the subscription is 5.99 a month after the first 30 days. Once you start using it and you start adding tags to your daily entries, it’s so clever at recognising patterns and it recently gave me a warning that I was about to become unwell (body is under significant strain etc) , and bang, the next day I came down with a rotten cold and temperature. The battery lasts for about 5 to 7 days, I wouldn’t be without mine now.

love love my Oura ring! I’ve had mine about 7 months. My husband has one also now. I pay £5 a month for my subscription.
My husband has the black one, looked lovely when he first got it but now it’s scratched and worn it’s practically silver!
I have the silver and although it has a few scratches they can’t really be seen.

I pay the subscription and also have a silver one. Mine is holding up well, but I do wear gloves when I do weights but apart from that am not particularly careful. Several of my colleagues have gold ones and they definitely wear less well. I think I’d get a ceramic one next time as I do like the look of them.

I also love my Oura ring! I have brushed silver, and it looks pretty good after over a year. I had pneumonia a couple of years ago, and love the oxygen tracking, and the sleep and period data is seriously accurate. It’s not the best activity tracker in my opinion - I’m sure it thinks me typing at work is me doing steps, and it doesn’t pick up my heart rate well when exercising using my hands e.g. weights, spin class.

My battery also started depleting much faster after about 10 months on my first ring, and Oura just sent a new one out straight away. Brilliant service!

Love my silver Oura. I have been wearing it since August. It is much more accurate at sleep tracking than my Apple Watch. As someone else said it knew the day before that I was getting ill. It is still as shiny as when I got it! Very happy with it!
