Anyone Put Off BGT By The Flippin’ Audience?!

Honestly, it’s awful, especially in the live show. It’s like people can’t keep quiet even when the acts are performing. And the judges couldn’t hear anything when they were giving their feedback. I’ve noticed that I’m more sensitive to noise as I age but this is in a different league! I had to switch off in the end.

Totally agree with you. I can't abide the audiences on these talent shows. They are either screaming their delight or baying for blood. And they all think they are expert judges too, and of course 99.9% know sod all and wouldn't be able to identify genuine talent in the performing arts if they fell over it.

I agree. Awful. It's extremely irritating. The Strictly audience are dreadful too but these are another level. It's also pointless as it's obvious the golden buzzer is part of a deal done when they scout acts from abroad and have to fly them to the UK. The expense doesn't justify the risk of not being voted through by the audience and having to fly a load of people back to the Philippines after a 3 minute performance.

Agree! Got really annoyed with the audience in live semi final last Saturday, especially when they shout "press that gold". So annoying that you could not hear the judges! However - I suspect the audience are encouraged to shout and are whipped up into a frenzy by audience coordinators whilst the stage is being set up between acts.

This is it, we've been to the live shows once and they have an entertainer on before hand and in the ad breaks who totally hypes up the audience! It is good fun while you're there and the show flies by but it does make it hard if anyone is trying to talk over the audience. We barely heard the judges comments when we were there, had to watch it back to see what we'd missed!
