Vinted locker - dropped off parcel but no updates…

I deposited a parcel in a Vinted locker two days ago. I scanned the QR code, a door opened, I put the parcel in, closed the door and the screen confirmed it was now in the charge of Vinted (wish I’d taken a photo of this!!). But since then - nothing. The chat with the buyer still says ‘print label’ and I have no proof that I actually deposited the parcel already.
Every other time I’ve sold something it all updates instantly so I’m a bit concerned that the parcel is sitting in the Vinted locker and there’s nothing I can do.
Has this happened to anyone before? I’ve contacted Vinted customer support and waiting for a ‘real’ person to get back to me.

I had this with something earlier in the week. It was DPD rather than the usual ones I use which acknowledge instantly. I think it was Yeep and they didn’t send anything for a couple of days. You can go into the Vinted message and mark that you’ve dropped the item off. Mine did eventually update that the parcel had been dropped off but I did wonder if we’d done something wrong.

I think Inpost has had some delays recently. I use a shop for dropping off, not the lockers but I've known it to delay updating for up to 2 days. Unless you're posting towards the end of your time window and Vinted refunds your buyer because they think you haven't sent, it should be ok.

Install the InPost app and check the tracking on there if you've only been looking on Vinted so far.

Thanks all! @GU24MumI can’t see any way of marking that I’ve dropped the item off, though?

I can’t remember how I did it but I think I pressed various things in the message and then had an option to confirm I’d sent it. Sorry not to be more help. As you say, its less of an issue if you get an acknowledgment and it’s then slow rather than wonder if you’ve put it somewhere it will stay for ever and never be collected!

Thanks. I can’t find it but I think I’ll just have to wait for Vinted to get back to me. It’s very odd!

@GoldenLands, did you eventually get a confirmation from Vinted that you have sent the item? I have the same problem - shipped a parcel by InPost this morning, put it in locker, got email receipt but it’s still not showing as sent on the Vinted app.

GoldenLands · 28/04/2026 23:16

Yes! Nearly 48 hours after I’d put the parcel in the locker I got the notification via Vinted. The tracking shows the correct time and date I deposited the parcel. So quite a long delay but all is fine now. (You’re in a better position than I was, as you have an email receipt - I had absolutely nothing to prove I’d dropped off the parcel.)

I think something up with vinted as I had the same today with both inpost and Royal Mail.
All now working tonight though.

I’ve just sent a parcel this evening with Inpost Is that who you’re referring to? I have previously made a mistake with the locker and was able to contact customer services at Inpost and tell them approximately which locker my parcel was in ( I can’t remember what mistake I’d made ). They were able to retrieve it for me. I also now photo the QR code at the end to have a receipt sent to me.

Omg. I've had this with an Inpost locker last week. I was returning £100+ of skincare that I accidentally ordered.

The locker popped open, I deposited it, shut the door - received no confirmation and the company haven't received it 😫i previously used to take a photo of the confirmation screen but as it's the millionth time I haven't been bothering.

I'd be cock a hoop if it was a vinted parcel (sorry OP, I know it's still annoying - glad it was sorted).

@GoldenLands, thank you for replying. I received confirmation on Vinted today. It was after the parcel was collected from the locker by the courier.
