My DD is 18 and in her first year at dance uni doing a BA in professional dance and MT. She's been called into the finance office and told next year she'll have to fund £3900 herself as the Welsh government has decided to cap student tuition fees at £6k for circus, dance and MT

I'm also under the impression she won't get a maintenance loan.

I'm really hoping this isn't true for those who are already in year 1.

I'm a lone parent and do not have £3900 to help her, or money for her living expenses.

Is anyone else in this position. I think it's shocking to do this when they've already started the BA.

My dd is starting MT in September, luckily she got into one with the correct registration for full funding from WG but from what I’ve read (we have looked into this a lot because some that she applied for didn’t get funding for tuition fees/maintenance grants) current students aren’t affected?
Which school is she at?

Also, even the courses that don’t get the full payment for the tuition fees can access the maintenance grants from what we were told.
