Hi, me and my ex have mediation coming up. He set it up and I’m not 100% sure why because we don’t have any finances really to sort out. We don’t own any property. The only things we have is a car valued at £7,000 and he has a small work pension valued at around £16,000 and then we both have our state pensions. That’s it.
I drive and he doesn’t so my ideal solution would be I keep the car and don’t touch his pension. Easy and quick.
the forms they’ve sent ask for a breakdown of all expenses. Even my own personal expenses and I feel like this is a bit intrusive and I actually have no idea where to start with working out monthly costs of everything I spend money on.
do they actually need this if our financial position is so simple to sort out. I don’t want any money from him for me.
we have children to discuss too which also I’m not sure why because we agreed between us 50/50
He is someone who like to have control over things so I feel like this is just something he’s making us do because he can.
