He was found not guilty. I'm amazed. Obviously there is more to a case than you see on the news but I'm very surprised.

Christopher Trybus is walking outside a court in a grey suit with a white shirt. He has glasses and short black hair.

Yes I was quite upset when I read about this not guilty verdict.

The poor woman. Suffered in life and no justice in death it would appear.

Two policemen are now being investigated for gross misconduct.

I listened to a podcast covering the trial and there were at least two occasions where TB made allegations to professionals that CT had hurt her when he was proven to be out of the country and evidence that she had also purchased a tracking device from Amazon and then shown it to her support worker claiming she found it on her car before returning it to Amazon which is when I really started to have doubts and think she was sadly just a very unwell woman. I think the correct outcome was reached by the jury.

I wonder how it proceed to trial?

I agree. I also listened to the podcast while the trial was going on and I just don’t think they could say that beyond reasonable doubt he was guilty, because some of the allegations just didn’t stack up. He had proof he was out of the country- hotel bookings and dinner receipts. Also, she brought a tracking device from Amazon and tried to claim it was his.
I think she was, sadly, a very unwell woman.

I think the podcast does make it clearer why. There are a few accusations that don’t stack up when aligned with other evidence
