Contracted a dysentry-like infection whilst away on holiday. Travel company refusing to accept liability so now looking at "no win, no fee" solicitor. Has anyone used one with any success? Thanks!

Why would the travel company be liable for you becoming ill?
If you lose, costs for the other side may be awarded against you. No fee only refers to your costs.

What loss have you incurred? Nothing? Then there is no “win”

I have used one years ago and “won” a bit of money fo a travel thing but I’m not sure there’s any way to prove the company at fault for you catching an invisible infection. You could’ve caught it anywhere. Unless it was a mass outbreak and EH found the source I wouldn’t bother

Were other people ill as well? Was it caused by their negligence in serving contaminated food or liquids?

Thanks, some things to think about.
