EES process for travelling from UK to Madrid and back

Has anyone tried it yet? Can you tell me what it was like?

Went to Germany and back, it was a tad slower but ok.

Flew in and out of Barajas today, it was busy but efficient and plenty of staff around directing people to where they should register for fingerprints, then go on to the e-gates. Was fine.

One of us has dual nationality (EU and UK passports) and one only has a UK passport. Is there any inherent advantage to split into different queues? Will it help to speed things up?
