Why do people dismiss supposedly trivial worries on chat threads?

When someone posts about something, maybe trivial but simply asking about something (example: "I can't decide between the green or the blue dress and it's stressing me out, help!")

Someone comes on to ask if that's all they have to worry about. It's so annoying!

Precisely! I think some people get a kick out of it.

This, chat is just that chat, but i think people just look for something to be miserable about and with it being the Internet think they have a right to say what they want. If you don't care about the "dress" just scroll on.

Oh God yeah.

The people who post "If this is all you have to worry about you're very lucky", make themselves look spectacularly thick.

I honestly get second hand cringe when I read it.

A lot of the time though people aren't worrying about what they're posting they're just discussing it. Example: something about celebrities and what they're wearing. Someone wrote about Ant McPartlin's wife and got a few responses about that.
