Is anyone interested in a thread to celebrate the little wins of everyday life? There is so much going wrong right now, in my life specifically and with the wider world being a shitshow, but I can't face any more negativity. So, today:
We were not only on time, but early for school, everyone had the right uniform, equipment, and nobody was crying. I cannot emphasise enough how rare this is!
It's been a beautifulsunny day. I dried two loads of washing on the line, including my sheets which are back on my bed ready for bedtime, smelling amazing.
I found time to exercise (couch to 5k started for the third time
) and feel so much better for it.
I made buns for packed lunches this week rather than relying on crappy upf snacks.
I had a minor breakthrough at work (I tutor vulnerable/SEN kids in their homes) - a girl who has resolutely ignored me for many many weeks not only spoke to me but actually picked up a pen and wrote something. No idea what changed but it felt incredible!
My kids have voluntarily turned off the TV and gone to play on the trampoline and (so far!) have not argued.
That all seems so minor when I write it down but - today was a good day.
Anyone else?
