Anyone else's newborn had impetigo and how did you cope?

FTM here!

Anyone’s newborn ever had an impetigo before?
My 2 week old baby has impetigo and currently on topical antibiotic cream!
What started as baby acne developed into impetigo so took him to the GP straightaway !!
Just feel soo guilty like I did something wrong!! :(
Just wanting some advice and reassurance!!

You didn't do anything wrong! Impetigo is horrid. It's nowt to do with how clean you are though. Also it responds v quickly to antibiotics so it will clear up in no time. Congratulations on your baby 💐- welcome to motherhood which unfortunately features loads of gross body fluids, rashes, and illness!

started the topical antibiotic cream this morning so will monitor!
