Personalised mugs - but really special

Looking for a special personalised mug (likely a name, but maybe also a short message) so I was looking at Emma Bridgewater but they charge £1 per letter, which on top of £33 for a large mug is a bit crazy. I've had a look at Etsy but can't find anything that's really special. Just wondering if I am missing anywhere really obvious (design, rather than generic)?

We went to Emma Bridgewater and painted our own mugs and had afternoon tea and a show round the factory ( which was far better than I thought) £55 all in

I recently purchased from this Etsy store, local UK designer that does his own illustrations! Lovely guy I messaged him directly and was super helpful, I went for his new special edition mug but he mentioned alot more stuff coming soon!
