I haven't seen her on here for ages. Has she eloped with HJ or has she been here all along and I'm just losing my marbles?

Oooh, good point CT - I've not seen her much either.

JoolsToo has also disappeared - well, she's in The Lakes having PC problems now she's in the countryside !

It feels to me like it's a lot quieter than before Christmas. Not heard much from emmatmg or Twiglett either - they are here but I don't 'see' as much of them as I used to.

Or is it me? I'm quite busy with work so not on as much..Oh, I'll shut up now, I've totally hijacked the thread!!!

RTKangaMummy · 26/01/2005 21:42

I was thinking about WSK last night

I was thinking that she maybe had got the job

nutcracker · 26/01/2005 21:43

I spoke to her on msn the other day, think her Dd has been poorly so she hasnt had much time to get on.

Cadbury · 26/01/2005 21:43

I haven't seen her around for a while. She had a rotten cold last time we spoke though.

coppertop · 26/01/2005 21:44

Hijack away GdG!

I haven't 'seen' Delgirl for ages either.

RTKangaMummy · 26/01/2005 21:47

emma and twig are deffo here today

WigWamBam · 26/01/2005 21:52

Spoke to WK earlier on MSN, she's not been around much because her dd has been poorly but she's OK. She hasn't mentioned the job though, KM.

RTKangaMummy · 26/01/2005 21:54

oh dear

I was hopping that was why hadnt seen her

coppertop · 26/01/2005 21:58

Poor little dd. I hope mini-WK feels better soon.

I was hoping for good news about the job too.

OP posts:
coppertop · 26/01/2005 21:59

LOL at "hopping" Kanga! What an apt typo.

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 26/01/2005 21:59

Awwww, get 10 mins to come on finally and see this!!! Didn't realise it had been so long already to get a search party!!!

We're having an ill January here atm, first I had fluey stuff, then dd got it, now I think I'm getting it again. DD has been demanding attention 24/7 so have had no time for MN () - have been bawled at in the day and had to sleep with her at night. All the days and nights have rolled into one and the job hunting has gone on hold for a teeny bit, but hopefully I can start again next week.

Thanks for my own thread, was wondering what sort of stuff would be on Active Convo's nowadays!!!

RTKangaMummy · 26/01/2005 22:02

deffo brill for your brief visit back with us

hope DD gets well soon

Hope you get back soon

BTW I was HOPPING dont you as you type

coppertop · 26/01/2005 22:02

Hurray! You're back!!!

Hopefully you and little dd will have a germ-free February.

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 26/01/2005 22:05

ct - your black magic must be working well Blinking hope Feb is germ free after all this!!! I knew it was dire when I wanted to post on MN to ask how to get dd to sleep but I couldn't because she wouldn't sleep!!!!

Thanks RTKM, for all the hopping too!!!

coppertop · 26/01/2005 22:06

I still have my magic touch. (Fnarr!).

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 26/01/2005 22:07

LOL, don't think you'll be able to resurrect jmg though, his will power seems to be better than mine

coppertop · 26/01/2005 22:10

I bet jmg would quite like the idea of being resurrected.

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 26/01/2005 22:11

Hmmmm, think he's priding himself on achieving what most women (on here) failed to do

coppertop · 26/01/2005 22:16

I've given up praying for willpower. I'll probably be one of the first subscribers to Gransnet, starting threads asking where to get a cheap pair of fur-lined suede slippers with zips up the sides.

OP posts:
wobblystarryknicks · 26/01/2005 22:20

Yep, I'll be here too, I've got no delusions of strength!!! Probably be asking for tips on how to bed my home help (young mayaan!!!) and how to be the most annoying granny ever!!

coppertop · 26/01/2005 22:22

Fwoarrgh! I like the idea of having a fit young mayaaan as a home-help. Suddenly old age seems quite appealing. All those bed baths.......

OP posts:
RTKangaMummy · 26/01/2005 22:23
Grin
wobblystarryknicks · 26/01/2005 22:25

Oooh, bed baths!!! Downside is I'll be telling my grandkids I used to fancy Hugh Jackman at their age and they'll be going 'Who? But he was minging and he's been dead for years!!!'

wobblystarryknicks · 26/01/2005 22:26

And I'll be going on about how good DVD's were and they'll be rolling their eyes and muttering 'god, can you even GET those anymore?'

wobblystarryknicks · 26/01/2005 22:28

Have thought of something else too - all the smutty chat we have will seem like the utter height of politeness to my grandkids!!!!
