Moving from Kent to Norwich and considering Drayton Junior School

Hi everyone 😊
We’re relocating from Kent to Norwich with our 10‑year‑old son and are currently researching local junior schools.
We’re considering Drayton Junior School, among others, and would really appreciate hearing any opinions or experiences you may have with the schools in the area.
Thanks so much in advance!

Hi I live near Norwich. Don’t know much about the junior school you mention. Have you gone on their website and looked at their Ofsted report? Then look at other schools in the catchment area and compare . The big thing to consider, because DS is approaching High School is which High School, so do your research. Hellesdon High is very academic, but big; Taverham High is good for vocational skills. You might be eligible for Aylsham High too, So I would look at High Schools first and work backwards if you see what I mean.

Are you set on Drayton? It’s a nice enough area, but there are better areas in the suburbs. Depends on your budget and how flexible you are. Norwich is a lovely city though, so I hope you are all happy wherever you decide to live.
