What's the going rate for a babysitter nowadays?

Have been invited out by friends tomorrow evening with DH and our kids are 9+ so fine with a local teenager to babysit rather than a family member, but I have no idea how much is expected nowadays 😂 Do you pay hourly or is it still a flat rate for the evening? We're in Yorkshire if it makes a difference.

My teen DD usually gets £10 per hour. Our next door neighbour only pays £5 (for 3 kids too!) but it’s convenient and she’s happy to do them a favour. South east.

I’m SE and we use a girl who’s from the nursery my youngest used to attend. She’s £10ph.

We’re in West Yorkshire, we pay their nursery staff £12.00/hour (we have to sign a form form their nursery saying the nursery are not involved in this arrangement) however they tend to do a lot more, so she will put the kids to bed & tidy the kitchen/playroom for us when they are sleeping. So more like a mother’s help. She also makes her own way here & back, it’s usually an Uber home.

If our niece babysits we do £25 flat, we put the kids to bed, she doesn’t do anything but chill & we collect her/take her home, therefore one of us can’t have a drink.
