Underwear on line

Just thought of something I saw on another forum once where a woman was complaining cos her neighbours had put underwear on their washing line. She thought it was disgusting and she didn't want to see that stuff. As far as I'm concerned what goes on my washing line is my business and if I want to hang my pants outside to dry in the sun i will. Does anyone else object to this? What do you do? Has anyone heard this complaint?

It’s a very old fashioned view. I think given that people are wandering round Tescos in their pants and pjs now (as mentioned on another thread) I can’t see anyone caring about undies on a line!

Do not think my old granny knickers would cause a stir! It would be a hard-pressed pervert to steal them, too! If it's in the washing basket, it goes on the line!

This has been done a million times on here.

Conclusion - it’s fine. No-one cares.

Everything goes on the line here, no tumble dryer and I hate having clothes horses hanging around the house unless it's absolutely necessary. I use a socktopus type thing for underwear and small items so you'd have to be a pretty determined pervert to be able to make out individual items.

My old next door neighbour never put underwear on her line. She dried everything else on the line. I found it weird!

I wasn't being nosy before the accusations start. Our washing lines were in the open next to each other.

I put my bras in the middle of the rotary airer as I don’t want neighbors looking at them but everything else goes round the outside including knickers

Everything goes on the line. In the unlikely event anyone cared enough to notice they would be told to get lost for being batshit.

I would agree with the person above - the stupid stuff women wear these days is way worse than knickers on the line. I saw a middle aged mum wearing what can only be described as a denim thong last week. Her flabby arse looked revolting.

I have no issue if other people do it, I just wouldn't myself. While logically I know it's nothing to be embarrassed about, I just would be. I tumble all my undies, it doesn't take long for such a small load.
