Dope smells in my house

Help! My house sometimes smells really strongly of dope in certain rooms (the two bedrooms upstairs that are joined to the neighbour). Is it possible that my neighbours are smoking it and the smell passes through the walls? I'm not being judgemental about it, it's just not very pleasant! The windows are usually closed.

Yes. We have the same and it knocks me absolutely sick. DH had to have a word with the neighbour who denied it at first, but DH held firm and was very matter of fact about it. (Rather than accusatory)

We think it comes through the pipes, so keep the toilet seat closed.

ETA- I am judgemental, it's absolutely disgusting and I wish I could kick these neighbours (renting) out!

Yes, seems my neighbours dope fumes were coming through the floor. Has stopped after I made a complaint.

Yep. My neighbour smokes it for his medical condition and every morning around 7am our house stinks of it.

My other side neighbour actually thought it was us for months and we thought it was them! We both did the typical British tutting loudly in the garden and audibly complaining about the laundry on the washing line smelling of it until we both realised it wasn’t either of us.

I get all my neighbours smoking fumes, vaping fumes, and dope fumes.

I had my upstairs bathroom refitted last year and the chap who was doing the work kept asking me if I could smell dope. Fortunately he had a good idea what my neighbours are like and realised it was them and nothing to do with me.

We had this with our neighbours. Their back door faces an entire brick wall of our house - no windows - but there are air bricks and flues. It seeps in through almost non-existent cracks and gaps. We mentioned it to our neighbour and they now smoke in the back garden - she seemed quite embarrassed by it actually. 😁

Friends had this going through their shared chimney and straight into the children's rooms. Fortunately, the students next door were amenable to smoking it in the garden instead.

Thank you all for your replies and affirmation that I'm not going mad! It's weird how the smell can be so strong for a day and then nothing. I have cupboard in the bathroom next to one of the bedrooms (even further from the neighbour's house) which has the boiler in/no ceiling so you can see the floorboards of the loft room above and you can smell it quite badly in there. I even started rooting around thinking my son must have a stash in there (he flatly denies it and I believe him!). I'm going to say something to the (fairly new) neighbour. He's really friendly but she isn't really. I don't care about mentioning it but I'll be careful what I say!
