What should I read after finishing Hamnet by Maggie O'Farrell?

I've just finished reading Hamnet. Absolutely loved it. Should I move onto another Maggie O'Farrell book, are her other ones just as good? Should I avoid the film at all costs?

I'm not up on contemporary authors, are there any others I should seek out? What should I read next?

Thank you kind and wise MNers!

Hamnet is different from her other books but I love all her books
The Marriage Portrait is probably the most similar and I loved it

I've avoided the film. For now. It'll be a different thing...I'm still absorbing Hamnet so will wait a year or two.

Yes, The Marriage Portrait, by Maggie O'Farrell!

The film is fabulous and follows the book.

Read By Any Other Name by Jodi Picoult. It follows William Shakespeare and is very good.

I loved the book but not the film so much

If you liked Hamnet, you'll probably enjoy Little by Edward Carey. It's the story of Madam Tussauds childhood.
