There are also some comedians who I don't find that funny on stage like Michael Macintyre and Ricky Gervais, who I think are naturally funny in conversation, and there's probably a few who are funny on stage who are probably dull or narcissistic in normal conversations.

There are also comedy writers I like like Graham Linehan and Matt Morgan.

Aargh. Just seen Jack Dee. May have to replace Linda with Jack.

TBF I don't think even Jack Dee himself, would think he should replace Linda Smith 😁

There‘s definitely another woman. I’d stake my life on it.
Go home. Kick that bastard out.

Some of these names are making me think about who would be the WORST four comedians to have at a dinner party.

The difficulty would be narrowing it down, I think.

Pretty sure they would all be men:

Ricky Gervais
John Cleese
Frankie Boyle
Stewart Lee

Can you imagine the massive ego-battle to see who could suck up all the oxygen in the room most quickly?

Andsoitbeganagain · 16/04/2026 19:58

Oh I forgot Matt Rife! (small swoon)

HoldItAllTogether · 16/04/2026 20:02

Tom Allan, Spike Milligan, Paul Sinha and Harry Hill.

Not sure they would all gel together but I’d love to chat to them all. Chris Kent (amazing Irish comedian) Matt Berry, Aaron Chen (Austrailian comedian) and Mike Wozniak could be stand ins.

Victoria Wood (I’m with @Lelot - it’s imaginary so I can have her), Bill Bailey and Phill Jupitus (because they are amazing together on QI, and Susan Calman.

I would love to have Jerry Sadowitz but he's pretty antisocial I think so don't think he would be much use or stay long.

Have encountered JS professionally and he is an absolute pleasure.

I have met Bob mortimer is my local coffee shop and he has loads of sugars in his coffee so you would need to top up on the sugar. Paul Whitehouse don't think he had sugar.
