Lovely moment meeting someone that knew my great grandparents

I knew he was older but I didn’t think he was that old! I’ve seen never a photo of these great grandparents as we think they were destroyed a long time ago in a house move. He grew up next door to them as a child and had stories about them too.

this man walked into a room of about 100 people and chose to sit next to me at an event. On the break, he asked if we had met. Knowing my family so we would have met when I was a baby (30s now).

anyway my friend said maybe he recognised me because I resemble my great gran? My now late grandfather said I looked very like her so it makes sense. I thought this quite a lovely thought that he saw a familiar face from generations ago and felt drawn to sit next to them 🙂

That is really precious, how fortunate to meet him. I expect you do look like your great gran, family resemblance can be so powerful.

she was actually 47 when she died in the late 1930s so that’s quite a thought eh?

And I think that man may be a vampire. He’s doing something right by the looks!
