DH and I have mirror car insurances with eSure. We are both named drivers on each other’s policies (not for business use though), and our individual policies also say we are covered to drive any other car, third party only, as long as we have the owner’s permission.
It would make life easier if I could drive DH’s car on business use tomorrow. My question is, if there are any MNers in the know…
I wouldn’t be covered to do this as his named driver. BUT would I be covered to do this through my own insurance which states I can drive ‘any other car,’ and which does not state any restrictions on the purpose of the driving?
(Of course, the sensible thing to do would be to contact eSure but apparently their phone line menus are designed to send you round in loops and it refused to connect me to anyone. Which has infuriated me to the extent that I have decided we will not be renewing with them, when the time comes!)
