Dove deodorant has ruined my white clothes

My new Dove fruity 48 hour deodorant has ruined all my white T-shirts!

I’m not a sweaty person and I don’t wear tight fitting clothes. I did a white and lights wash and the armpit areas and sides came out all stained. The only difference was my new deodorant the Dove fruity one. I don’t apply deodorant with clothes on either so it has to be through contact with the skin.

I’ve ruined loads of nice tops and Tshirts that are totally unwearable. I tried soaking in oxy white stuff then using the stain gel rubbed in and a whitening wash after that and while
it made it slightly less in your face brown, the stains are still very visible. My favourite T-shirts are ruined and I can’t afford to replace them all, some were quite rare gig shirts that I couldn’t replace if I wanted to. I’m so angry and upset.

I washed at 30deg and line dried

Has anyone else had this happen and what else can I try to get them back to wearable?

I am a MASTER white recoverer.

get some bleach on it (I use the domestos
spray but a blob of normal one will do)

wash at 60

line dry in the sun (this bit is important)

i actively seek cheap linen/t shirts on vinted to bring back to life! Yes I am that weird.

you may have to repeat the wash and line dry depending on the fastness of the stains. Do you have a pic?

Don't leave the bleach
on! Get it on and wash straight away otherwise you'll damage the fabric.

Try vinegar on the affected area and meths if that doesn't work. I had a wild deodorant do this to a load of tops, stuck in there and it smelled vile.

Elbow grease spray followed by their laundry soap bar is the only thing I’ve found to work, spray scrub spray again let in sit for 30 minutes and then wet the soap bar and scrub it in, wash at 40 degrees with powder not liquid detergent.
The above method also works for sun cream stains!

These are great tips. Only issue is I live in Scotland and we don’t so sunshine.

I’ll give this a go too. Thanks!
