Supplements/remedies to help mood?

I am sad and full of rage. Pretty much all day every day.

I already know that I need to lose weight, improve diet, spend more time being active and outside, and improve my sleep (hindered by a poor sleeping 1yr old). I know tackling all of those will hopefully see my mood improve, and I am making steps in all those areas.

But are there any supplements I can take to help? Natural remedies? What about homeopathy?

I'm probably being very selfish but just at the moment I don't want to go down the antidepressant route

Not exactly supplementation but I can really recommend watching this video from the psychiatrist Georgia Ede about how diet in general effects the brain, and how brain health effects mental health. It is only 50 mins and very well explained.

I've always had good results from St Johns Wort. Ashwaganda can be useful for stress/anger.

5 HTP is a supplement that works like a gentle antidepressant, it’s good for anxiety.

Magnesium is also good for sleep and anxiety.

Youre probably too young, but if there’s any chance you’re perimenopausal HRT will help a LOT.

When you can, exercise!
