Absolutely shocking news!!!! This case truly shows not all people such as this fit the category of age etc you would expect. And serves as reminder to all of us to ensure devices have controls on them😢

I have ended up trying to do some digging, I think partly just as despite the unfortunate frequency of these events I always just want to know WHY.

Only thing I found however is what I suspect to be an old LinkedIn profile showing he was at Eastleigh College - matching the dates he would’ve been there. Very much hoping nothing further comes out from his time there.

I wonder what his family think of him disgusting creep!

Cannot believe they gave him bail, he sounds like a complete psycho. God that poor girl

Precisely, and I’m frankly shocked this has gained such little traction on here. I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere on the site!

I hadn’t seen anything about it either. I’m sure with an unusual surname like that it’ll be difficult to lay low. So fed up with men like this.

WatermelonSalad1 · 12/04/2026 08:23

I'm not sure why this is shocking or why that age is shocking

I feel very sorry, of course

Roblox notorious for these kinds of problems as is a whole other bunch of stuff in that online space

And a lot of men this age will be on there

I mean, it's awful, but there's nothing shocking about it You have to be really careful what your kids are doing online. They should be supervised.

Stripyduvet · 12/04/2026 08:28

How awful.

Reminds me of chat rooms in the 00s. (Which we could access IN school)

I've never allowed my DC on Roblox!

MrThorpeHazell · 12/04/2026 11:12

I am sorry, what has his college got to do with this?

Sadly having worked in child protection this is really a run of the mill case. I had one case of an 11 year old boy being groomed via X-Box. Groomer even sent him money so he could buy a new laptop identical to the one he own so it didn’t have parental locks on it and could converse with him with impunity. Shocking thing was when we tracked down the groomer (a 22 year old male) he’d only been convicted of doing the exact same thing a month before making contact with our victim. However he got a community order (including not accessing or owing devices he could connect to the internet) because of some sob story about his awful childhood. Thankfully he got a custodial for ours.

Sadly children especially teens always think they know better so it’s down to the parents to ensure they know what their child is doing online. I used to go and do presentations in schools about online grooming to parents and children but there’s always at least one parent who ‘doesn’t want to invade their child’s privacy’ and teens who think they know better.
