Alexandra Palace Station

Many years ago, I went to Ally Pally and remember walking up a long hill from a train/tube station. I can't remember which station it was! I see that there is an Alexandra Palace Station. Could anyone tell me if this is the station at the bottom of the hill or if it is in the AP grounds?
Thank you.

Alexandra palace is the train station at the bottom of the big hill, you need to walk up to the actual palace.

Wood Green is the tube station a bit further away but would still need to walk up the hill

It’s been a few years for me, but I think it’s at the bottom of the hill. If you don’t fancy the hill and you’re coming from Kings Cross, there’s a bus stop right outside Ally Pally itself.

Agree with Greyhoundnewbie
I lived in Wood Green and Muswell Hill so Ally Pally was my 2nd home when growing up.

My mum used to work in the skating ring and food prep dept
so me and my sister used to go with her in the summer holidays and would spent all day outside playing and wandering all over, rolling down the hills. Loved walking around the lake.

In between the opening / closing hours to the public we would have the skating ring all to ourselfs.
Learnt to skate properly.

We used to go to the funfair down the hill and when older attended some concerts that were on.

All great fun great memories
I remember summers were lovely and sunny most days.
